Debra K. Kelly (Debi) grew up on a family farm in the South and enjoys painting subject matter that depicts the culture and scenery of the South. Favorite subjects include coastal scenes, antique vehicles and machinery, and animals (wildlife and domestic). Her preferred medium is pastel. She incorporates liberal touches of color and
texture, unusual angles and detailed drawing to capture movement and life in her subjects
She has participated and exhibited in numerous competitions, including The Southeastern Pastel Society International Juried Exhibition (Atlanta), The Mack (McCormick), Hub City Exhibition (Spartanburg), South Carolina State Fairs, Crooked Creek Art League and the Anderson County Arts Center. Debra is a "Member of Excellence" of the Southeastern Pastel Society in Atlanta and an Associate Member of the Pastel Society of American.
