Debra K. Kelly, Artist - Southern Landscapes

Debra K. Kelly (Debi) grew up on a family farm in the South and enjoys painting subject matter that depicts the culture and scenery of the South.  Favorite subjects include coastal scenes, antique vehicles and machinery, and wildlife/domestic animals.  Preferred mediums are pastels and oils; she is best known for her detailed pastel paintings.

She has participated and exhibited in numerous competitions, including The Southeastern Pastel Society International Juried Exhibition (Atlanta), The Mack (McCormick), Hub City Exhibition (Spartanburg), South Carolina State Fairs, Crooked Creek Art League and the Anderson County Arts Center.  She has won numerous awards for her pastels and oils. Artwork is currently on display at Newberry Hospital, Ramco Framing and Design, and Palmetto Fine Arts.

Debi feels that too often we fail to appreciate the beautiful world that God has created for us to enjoy.  Artist statement:  "A painting captures a moment in time and enables us to go back and visit it again and again with great joy."
